UCLA has improved its standing in this year’s Times Higher Education World University Rankings. In its 2016–2017 report, published today, the Times ranked UCLA No. 14 worldwide and No. 10 in the United States. This is up from last year’s showing of No. 16 overall and No. 11 nationally. The publication ranked 980 of the world’s leading research universities, drawing on 150 separate data points.
The survey takes into account a variety of indicators, including quality of teaching and research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.
